This article will explain how to install and use Email Notifications for Google Forms add-on:
1. Go to the vertical ellipses in the top right and select Add-ons
2. Search for "Email Notifications For Google Forms" and install the Add-on
3. Open the newly installed Add-on
4. Select "Create Email Notification"
5. Fill out the fields in the pop up box:
5. Scroll down to this section and select Edit next to "Use a visual editor"
6. Build your email template:
This is what will be emailed to you once someone fills out your form. Text encased in 2 curly brackets {{like this}} is a variable pulled from the data or metadata of the form, in this screenshot the response date of the form is being used in the title as well as the two questions.
In the lower right side you will see the menu of the possible variables you can insert into your email template. It's important to note that the variable will only pull the data in the submitted field, therefore we prepend the actual question before the variable in this example so when the email is received the format is (form question) (submitted answer).
Remember to save your template and you are done!
