If you've ever been frustrated by your Mac copying formatting on text from one application to another, then this article will show you how to stop it.
Open System Preferences and go to the Keyboard section:
On the keyboard panel:
1. Select "Shortcuts" from the tabs
2. Select App Shortcuts
3. Select the + Sign
Next:
1. Select All Applications in the Application section.
2. Enter "Paste and Match Style" into the Menu Title input box.
3. Click into the Keyboard Shortcut input box, press Command + V.
4. Click Add.
This will now map what was the more difficult Option + Shift + Command + V to Command + V.
Note: This will not work for Microsoft Word as it uses a special copy/paste menu.
